“Oh thank you so much – they are fantastic!”
Sam and James’ Canterbury wedding was a lovely day of two halves. The day started with an intimate wedding reception at Canterbury register office with just their very closest family and friends. Sam arrived with her father in a stunning 1951 Bentley. Following a short and sweet ceremony the couple and their guests made their way to The Pound in Canterbury for drinks before heading to The Goods Shed for speeches and lunch.
I left the couple for a couple of hours to enjoy their meal and met them later that day for their wedding reception at Rocksalt in Folkestone. The couple were joined by more of their family and friends for a lovely evening of celebrations.
As a documentary wedding photographer, the day was photographed as it happened without intervention from me. I’ve since been lucky enough to have been awarded a couple of Honor Awards from the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) for pictures from this Canterbury wedding. You can view the award winning photos over on my Instagram page.
Below are some of my favourite pictures from Sam and James’ Canterbury wedding. If you’re planning a wedding in Canterbury and like my unposed, documentary style of photography I’d love to hear from you.
