“Thank you so much!”
Being based in London I’m fairly used to making the journey west to photograph weddings in some of the wonderful venues that the Cotswolds and other surrounding areas have to offer. But on the day of Caroline and Ioan’s wedding I headed in completely the opposite direction to Margate on the Kent coast. This part of the world is very dear to me indeed as my own wedding took place just down the road in a quaint little beach house overlooking Tankerton beach in Whitstable.
Following a beautiful ceremony at St Anne’s church in Cliftonville the couple hopped into their beautifully restored VW camper van and headed to Margate beach whilst their guests all made their way to the Turner Contemporary. It was lovely to watch Ioan and Caroline walk bare foot across the sand; not a care in the world, just 100% wrapped up in each other. Nearby workman offered a rather comical helping hand to wash the sand from their feet and we went on our way to join their guests for the afternoon and evening celebrations.
Here are some of my highlights from Caroline and Ioan’s Turner Contemporary wedding.
If you’re planning a wedding at the Turner Contemporary I’d love to hear from you
Breathtaking work mate. There’s more than a few frames here which are just absolutely perfect. I wish id shot this!
Unbelievable. Shot after shot after shot, all sublime. That’s it, I’m hanging my cameras up. Seriously Steven, that second image has got to be one of the best prep pictures I’ve seen. Truly amazing work.
Yeah, what Paul said.
Top class!
Wow – stunning work. Just amazing. There are some “big names” who should be looking over their shoulder!
Superb Steven. Love them all.
Beautiful coverage Steven, really lovely work!
Agree with all the above comments Steven – just great work. Love the shot of Caroline and Loan walking along the beach, with the seagulls framing them 🙂
