Toni has known my wife for many years now. They are both good friends of ours and when they announced their engagement it was almost a given that I would be photographing their day for them. Being a wedding photographer, many of my weekends get booked up nearly 2 years in advance and so sometimes I don’t even get to witness the weddings of very good friends, let alone photograph them. So I was really pleased when Toni announced the date of their Wokefield Park wedding and it fell on a Friday that wasn’t yet booked up. They’ve had a tough old year between them so it was such a nice feeling to see them so happy on their wedding day. And it was extra specially special that I was able to capture it for them.
Toni (and Neil) planned the whole day to perfection. Every detail was colour matched to their theme, even down to the shoes that Toni designed herself! They invited the superb Matt Cook along to treat everyone to his unique, vocal talents. It was great to see him again as he performed last year at my own wedding. Once again he didn’t disappoint. I encourage you to check him out.
The whole day was great. Nice weather, beautiful setting, great guests, happy couple, and I even got to flirt with my wife between shooting! Here is a selection of my favourites from the day. If you are planning a wedding at Wokefield Park and like my unique, documentary style of wedding photography please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.
Excellent work Steven, some very clever and subtle compositions, frames within frames – well structured images and well observed. Favourite shot – the lady (mother?) coming out of the doorway.
Thanks Steven for your lovely words and amazing photography! If anyone is thinking of hiring Steven, stop thinking and start booking he has left us with amazing photographic memories of our day, capturing both the special moments and moments that we did not see on the day. I cannot recommend Steven enough!
Wonderful pics You managed to make my daughter look even more beautiful she is the love of our lives and you made her day really special for her and Neil so thank you so much.
Thanks Steven great job (I had a feeling you might use the one of me with my new hat) Which came all the way from Turkey by the way
