Ashleigh and Will’s Berkshire wedding took place at the slightly unusual Monkey Island in Bray, a perfect setting for a documentary wedding photographer to shoot at. I say slightly unusual because the venue is only accessible via footbridge or boat and the couple had to share their wedding venue with a couple of rather impressive peacocks. Not a monkey in sight though.
The wedding itself was fantastic, with nearly the entire day taking place outside overlooking the River Thames. As passing boats honked, cheered and waved, the guests and the peacocks got themselves acquainted. Only later did they make their way inside for dinner and dancing overlooking the Thames. The guests I mean, not the peacocks. Of course.
Congratulations to Ashleigh and Will and thanks to Nick Tucker for inviting me to assist him on the day. Nick is a very fine documentary wedding photographer who shares a similar ethos to me, so it’s always a pleasure working with him.
Here is Ashleigh and Will’s Monkey Island Wedding Photography, all taken with my discreet documentary wedding photography style.
Fantastic images as usual Carter! Love the guy walking with the top hat, and the 3rd to last shot is timed to perfection, great capture!
