What can I say about weddings at Ocean View Windmill Gower? Stunning. Unique. Picturesque. With views across the Welsh hills and looking down onto Weobley Castle, Ocean View Windmill is a fine spot for a wedding reception. Not the easiest venue to find, but well worth tracking down. The venue comprises a brick built building serving as a bar and seating area as well a huge permanent marquee overlooking the valley which plays host to the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.

Brangwyn Hall, located within the Guildhall is one of Swansea’s cultural hubs. First opened on 23rd October 1934 it plays host to all sorts of events from weddings and concerts to large award ceremonies. Weddings at Brangwyn Hall Swansea are always a grand affair and I was recently lucky enough to photograph a very rare wedding ceremony which actually took place in the Concert Hall itself.

This room is simply breathtaking, with huge high ceilings and walls donned with Brangwyn panels, huge canvases based loosely on Frank Brangwyn’s many travels and his studies of animals in London Zoo.

The exterior of Brangwyn Hall is a documentary wedding photographers dream with its stone steps and three huge arched doorways. I was able to use these to great effect on the day, framing the couple and their guests both in the run up to, and following the ceremony. There is also plenty of parking close by making weddings at Brangwyn Hall an even more enticing option.
