Set amongst the cobbled streets of one of London’s loveliest villages, the private members club Burgh House holds around 80-100 guests for relaxed and stylish civil ceremonies and wedding receptions. This gorgeous 18th Century Mansion was, until 1930, a family home. Now it plays backdrop to all manner of stylish weddings.

Weddings at St Etheldreda’s in Holborn are wonderful affairs to photograph. Built in 1290 by John De Kirkeby, Bishop of Ely and Treasurer of England under Edward I, this beautiful Rosminian church tucked away on Ely Place in Holborn is one of London’s undiscovered gems. Huge stained glass windows and a balcony overlooking the main hall are just some of its best assets. Not to mention The Crypt underneath, a dark intimate reception venue perfect for continuing your wedding celebrations. The natural light that these two venues provide is beautiful, if a little low and challenging in The Crypt itself. However, this is perfect for a documentary wedding photographer working the way I do.
