A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Jacob’s London Christening at Penge Congregational Church in South East London. Jacob is such a gorgeous little boy, inquisitive and full of smiles. He was as good as gold throughout the day and looked simply adorable in his tiny white suit.
During the service I spotted a small alcove off to the side of the main room, with a wooden cross standing on a shelf between them. I knew I could use this to take an interesting picture so I discretely made my way behind the shelf and composed, using the cross to form a link between the Vicar and the Congregation.
Shortly after the service the Vicar gave Jacob’s parents the opportunity to ‘introduce’ Jacob to his friends and family. This was a series of wonderful moments and as Dad carried Jacob from aisle to aisle, friends and family beamed with adoration. Here is a selection of my favourite Reportage Christening Photography from Jacob’s London Christening.
If you are planning a London Christening why not get in touch to talk about your plans.
