Angelo’s Reportage Christening Photography

It’s always a joy to take some Reportage Christening Photography. Angelo’s London Christening took place at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church on Brook Green in Hammersmith, West London and was wonderful day to photograph. The service, performed by Father Nizar, was beautiful and emotional and the guests were a joy to be around.

Aside from the service, the highlight of the day for me was hitching a ride from the church to the reception with Angelo’s Grandmother, a wonderfully entertaining lady. As we waited patiently for her Sat Nav to find a signal the rest of the family drove off into the distance. Thankfully I had my trusty iPhone with me with its built in route planner so we were swiftly on our way through the streets of London to the bustling reception downstairs at the Pagliaccio Italian restaurant in Wandsworth.

Congratulations Angelo. Here is a selection of your London Christening Photography.

Eden’s Kent Christening Photography

Eden’s Kent Christening took place at St Michael’s Church in Welling, Bexley. It was a wonderful day for all involved, with all of Eden’s family and friends there to help him celebrate. Eden is just beautiful. His bright eyes light up a room and I rarely saw him without a smile the entire day.

St Michael’s Church itself is a lovely venue with gorgeous light pouring in through its large windows. So, I was more than a little disappointed when the Vicar decided right before the service that he wasn’t going to allow photography. Undeterred I discreetly positioned myself out of sight and managed to sneak a few pictures without being noticed. The reception hall was lovely and intimate, with countless large windows letting in an abundance of natural light. I kept my focal lengths short and got in amongst the guests.

The highlight of the reception was the magic show. Terry, a fireman by day, entertained the children for well over an hour with magic tricks, balloon animals and crazy antics. A true performer. He even kept some of the adults entertained, Here is a small selection of Eden’s Reportage Christening Photography.

Jacob’s London Christening Photography

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Jacob’s London Christening at Penge Congregational Church in South East London. Jacob is such a gorgeous little boy, inquisitive and full of smiles. He was as good as gold throughout the day and looked simply adorable in his tiny white suit.

During the service I spotted a small alcove off to the side of the main room, with a wooden cross standing on a shelf between them. I knew I could use this to take an interesting picture so I discretely made my way behind the shelf and composed, using the cross to form a link between the Vicar and the Congregation.

Shortly after the service the Vicar gave Jacob’s parents the opportunity to ‘introduce’ Jacob to his friends and family. This was a series of wonderful moments and as Dad carried Jacob from aisle to aisle, friends and family beamed with adoration. Here is a selection of my favourite Reportage Christening Photography from Jacob’s London Christening.
